Original title: speakers work not after fresh windows 7 installed, please help! Very frustrating because it feels like I'm 98% done my re - install, and it looks like its just some simple setting somewhere in Windows or this HD VDeck that will get things working.Īny help would be greatly appreciated! :)

In any case, this newer version and the one outside the site of ASUS, as well as older drivers, I think, just install a version or one that other: HD VDeck.Ĭommon responses include at this time something about the Realtek drivers (can't see how tho so it shall not apply, or using those on drivers THROUGH), or Windows Troubleshooter, or something in the playback functions, or an old or Windows driver conflict with these new?), but I have tried these things (or I thought I did lol).īut I still have no sound on my speakers. So I followed the links and found a driver for it, but after I installed that now, it seems that it is just a version still newer same driver (the preceding being 9500, 10200 or this is what it looks like.) So I tried to look at the specs for this mobo, and saw the audio chip itself is VIA VT1708S. I therefore installed that, and then one encouraging thing is that DURING the installation of this audio driver, my speakers made a sound that made me think that they are the least recognized, or this audio driver is at least to see them there?īut then after the reboot, I still have no sound. I have a motherboard ASUS P7-P55-M, I went to the ASUS website and got the best audio driver for this mobo, which is: VIA_Audio_V6019500_XPVistaWin7. So the most common answer seems to be getting the correct driver.

I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my PC and I was a little proud of myself, have internet, email, video works. Done.I have no sound on the computer after you have reinstalled Windows. Right click tray speakers(Volume) select 'recording devices' (confirm microphone is active) -> highlight "microphone" -> Click 'Set default'(Default device) (At Bottom) -> Close. Audio Manager' (For mine it's Realtek HD Audio Manager) -> Select 'Mic' Tab (At top) -> Click 'Device advanced settings' (At top right) -> Select radio button, "Separate all input jacks as independent input devices". I didn't know where to put this so I put it here :3 and if I do I hope it isn't too much cuz I'm saving but please help me out here guys. PLease help me D: I hope I don't have to spend money. but mind you it sucked and I had a $200 headset laying around doing nothing. but when I removed the speaker plugin I could hear the sound from the laptops internal speakers and could talk from the internal mic. I put the speakers plugin into the jack and it I used to be able to hear things from the headset and use the internal mic on the laptop but all of a sudden when I would plug in the speakers the internal mic wouldn't work anymore. its a green one so I'm assuming its for speakers and when I plug my mic plugin into the jack and I hear nothing and the mic doesn't work. I also have Sennheiser pc hd 350 headset that has a mic and a mic plugin and a speakers plugin. I have a Asus notebook X450L running windows 8.1.
